The Centre of Excellence (Lagos State) across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Community Development Areas witnessed a massive welcome to the arrival of the All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Jagaban), who embarked on a tour around the city on Sunday, the 19th of June 2022 as a display of special gratitude's to all.
In lieu of the above, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu (Dullar) poured out huge accolades on the Ex-Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju, whom many, including the opposition parties were of the opinion that, he won't triumph in the last convention of the ruling party, the decider of a peaceful conducted political affairs, which became a shocker for the world to linger on, ahead of the main race, come 2023.
According to Hon. Abdul Hamed, he eulogized the erstwhile Lagos West Senator of the third republic, as a prominent, competent elite and experienced Democrat worthy of handling the helm of affairs of our great Nation, Nigeria, with undoubted expectations to turn our present predicaments all around, in a gradual and extraordinary process, with unfeigned alliance for unity and 'A Better Nigeria' across the Six-GeoPolitical Zones.
The intense joy on people's faces as observed keenly, reeled out the anticipated desire for the South-West to take its turn, as the enthusiasts of Asiwaju, specifically among the Aged, kept chanting "Eyi larin rin, o ye wa, Asiko wa re, Awa lokan, Ajumose gbogbo wa ni, a ti gbaradi" in translation, "This proceeding is mesmerising and suits us; Its our time and our turn, and it is the collective task for all, We are ready".
As the whole of Lagos got thrown into the aura of felicitation to receive the Man of the Moment, dubbed 'City Boy', the All Progressives Congress, APC Members, Ward Chairmen and Leaders in Somolu, collaborated with their counterparts in other LGAs/LCDAs, to honour our incoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 'Jagaban of Africa' by God's grace.
The flavoursome array of affection, appraisal and fulfilment to the quintessentially candidate of the reigning party, was indeed, embellished with customized Caps, Brooms (The Symbol of the Party), Banners, Jersey, Attires, Long robe, Vehicles and Flags, while the waiving of victory beclouded the sunny day to a much larger degree, fascinating.
Meanwhile, the forthcoming 2023 General Election, which is less than 9 months to be staged in all the 774 Local Governments in the country, has had awaiting for the contest, the Political Juggernaut, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose precious life, remarkable competency, great insight, knowledge and conquest were by all means, sacrosanct to the development of the country, God's willing.
